Robert Siegler, Judy Deloache & Nancy Eisenberg

Bob Siegler is the Teresa Heinz Professor of Cognitive Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the author of the best-selling cognitive development textbook, Children's Thinking and has written two additional books, edited three others, and authored more than 150 journal articles and book chapters. His books have been translated into Japanese, Korean, and French. In the past few years, he has presented keynote addresses at the conventions of the Cognitive Development Society, the Society for Research in Child Development, the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development, The Jean Piaget Society, The Gatlinburg Conference on Mental Retardation, the Conference on Human Development, the American Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Society. He also has served as Associate Editor of the journal Developmental Psychology and co-edited the cognitive development volume of the 1998 Handbook of Child Psychology.

Judy DeLoache is the Lawrence Kenan, Jr. Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia. She has been the editor and co-editor of three editions of Current Research in Child Development. She is also co-editor of the recently-published A World of Babies, a book on cultural differences in the treatment of infants. She recently served as President of the Developmental Division of the American Psychological Association and as a member of the Executive Boards of the International Society for the Study of Infancy and the Cognitive Development Society. She has served on the editorial boards of several developmental journals. Dr. DeLoache has presented major invited addresses at meetings of the Society for Research in Child Development, the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society, Zero-to-Three, and the Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology, as well as at the Minnesota Symposium on Child Psychology. She has been recognized several times for outstanding undergraduate teaching.  

 Nancy Eisenberg is Regent's Professor of Psychology at Arizona State University. She is editor or author of numerous books on prosocial, social, and emotional development, including editor of Volume 3 of The Handbook of Child Psychology (Social, Emotional, and Personality Development). She is also the author of The Caring Child. Several of her books have been translated into Japanese, Spanish, or Polish. She has published over 250 journal articles and chapters. She is currently on the Publications Board of the Society for Research in Child Psychology, and recently served as the editor of Psychological Bulletin. Dr. Eisenberg was the associate editor of Merrill-Palmer Quarterly and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and served as president of the Western Psychological Association. She has been on the governing board of the Society for Research in Child Development and has served on the council of the American Psychological Association.
